Contributing To Your Cause
Educators give a lot – their best selves, their time, and often their hard-earned money. We believe those who go above and beyond to innovate, enrich learning, and contribute to student wellness should get the support they need.
Thanks to our members, the A+ Education Foundation awards grants of up to $1,500 to professionally certified educators who are A+FCU members and employed at a school within its field of membership.
Grant Notification List
The 2023 Grant Application will open in February. Sign up to receive emails about important dates and information for the upcoming grant cycle.
How It Works
Grants are awarded in amounts up to $1,500 based on an applicant’s proposed budget. Funds must be used to support new and ongoing programs, including equipment, supplies, materials, and training. Grants can’t be used for payroll, stipends, or travel-related expenses.
- Complete the online grant application
- Request approval from your principal or highest administrator
- Ensure your application and administrator’s approval are submitted by the deadline
Applicants must be professionally certified educators employed at a pre-K to 12 school within A+FCU’s field of membership. Applicants must also be primary members of A+FCU, meaning their name is first on a joint account or the only name on the account.
Educators can only apply once per grant cycle. If there are multiple educators working on the same project, each one has to apply for a grant separately and provide an individual narrative detailing how the grant will impact students. This means applicants must work on their submissions independently and provide unique responses; duplicate submissions will not be considered.
To ensure anonymity, applicant information will not be visible to the selection committee. For this reason, do not refer to your name, campus, or anything specific to your campus (such as district, location, colors, mascot, etc.) anywhere in the grant portion of the application. Including restricted information will be cause for disqualification.
Things To Note
The number of grants awarded each year depends on how much money is donated to the A+ Education Foundation during the year, the number of grant applicants, and the total dollar amount requested by applicants.
If you have questions or need any additional information about the grant program, please call 512.533.4390 or email [email protected].
Completion of a grant application in no way guarantees eligibility or funding. The A+ Education Foundation Board shall be the sole decision-maker regarding the award of any grant, and its decision shall be final. The Foundation also reserves the right to amend the terms of any grant at any time without prior notice.
