Extra Security For Your Debit Card
Increase the security of your A+FCU debit cards with our free online tool, Card Management. Take advantage of these features to better protect your card:
- Easily enable or disable your card and reactivate when you’re ready
- Report a card as lost, stolen, or used fraudulently
- Set card controls and alerts for transaction limits, transaction types, and merchant types
- Request a replacement for a damaged card
- Provide upcoming travel information so your card is ready to travel with you
- Easily set up or change your PIN
To enroll, log in to A+ Online Banking or the A+ Mobile App, select Card Management from the menu > select your card(s) > Card Controls > follow the prompts > Enroll Cards. Once enrolled, visit Card Management to set up alerts, manage your debit card, and more.
Frequently Asked Questions
Log in to A+ Online Banking or the A+ Mobile App and select Card Management from the menu to:
- Activate new cards once received
- Temporarily enable/disable a card quickly
- Set up card controls to limit spending or certain transaction types from being authorized
- Report a card lost, stolen, or used fraudulently
- Order a replacement for a damaged card
- Set alerts for spending limits and transactions
- Set up travel notifications
- Change your PIN
Card controls allow a cardholder to limit the use of their debt card by:
- Setting a limit per transaction to be declined if transaction exceeds limit
- Declining transaction certain types like eCommerce
- Recurring and/or ATM transactions
- Declining types of merchants’ transactions like at gas stations
A+FCU has no control and isn’t responsible if a transaction isn’t declined when a control is set.
Yes. Select the toggle by Enable/Disable card – this prevents any transaction from being authorized on your account. You’ll see that the card now shows “DISABLED”.
To begin using the card again, simply select the same toggle option as before.
No. Once a card is marked as lost, stolen, or fraud, the card is permanently blocked from any further use.
Visit a local branch during normal business hours to receive a new card immediately.
To have a card mailed to you, log in to A+ Online Banking or the A+ Mobile App and in the Card Management section select the card needing to be replaced > Order Replacement. The card will be sent to the address indicated on the confirmation page and should arrive within 7-10 business days.
Report fraudulent activity within Card Management after selecting the card needing to be reported > Report lost, stolen, or fraud > select Fraud option > Report fraud on card. Then call 800.335.4583 to start the dispute process.
Alerts allow a cardholder to be notified, by SMS and/or email, when a transaction has been made on their debit card.
Set alerts for:
- Spending and international transactions
- Types of transactions such as eCommerce, recurring, and/or ATM transactions
- Types of merchants like gas station transactions
Verify that the SMS phone number and/or email address provided at enrollment is correct. Alerts are available when you have your mobile device within operating range of a carrier with an appropriate signal for data services. This service is subject to transmission limitations and service interruptions. A+FCU doesn’t guarantee the delivery or accuracy of alerts, or that alerts will always be available or in all areas.
Share travel details to reduce the chance of your card being declined for suspicious activity.
Log in to A+ Online Banking or the A+ Mobile App and select Card Management from the menu > select the card you’ll be using while traveling > Travel notifications > input information > Submit.
To activate a new card, you can either call 800.355.4583, or you can activate it through Card Management.
To activate through Card Management:
- Log in to A+ Online Banking or the A+ Mobile App
- Navigate to Card Management
- Select the new card listed
- Using the card information printed on the new card, enter expiration month and year, and the CVV printed on the back of the card
- Once completed, you’ll receive a success message
If you’ve received a new card, once activated, log in to A+ Online Banking or the A+ Mobile App > select Card Management from the menu > select the new card > Select and Change PIN.
To change a PIN, you must know the current PIN on the card and then you can follow the steps above. If you don’t know your current PIN, contact us at 512.302.6800.
Only the active cards on the primary member number are visible. If you have other cards that are attached to other accounts, you’ll log in to each of those accounts separately.
