A+FCU is committed to supporting current and college-bound students thrive in their education with $2,000 scholarships.
Scholarship Program
In 2027, A+FCU will award sixty $2,000 scholarships. To be eligible to apply, the applicant or their parent/guardian must have joined A+FCU before November 2, 2025. Applicants must also attend or plan to attend an accredited college or university and be:
- Graduating high school seniors OR
- Undergraduate students with at least 60 credit hours pursuing an education major or teaching certification OR
- Teachers pursuing a graduate degree
The 2027 A+FCU Scholarship Application is open from November 1, 2026, through 11:59 pm February 5, 2027.

My parents have been A+ Federal Credit Union members my entire life and I have had my A+ account since I was 4 years old. This scholarship will allow me to not have to take out as many loans. 2026 Recipients
In 2026, we awarded $120,000 to 60 students. These recipients were selected based on their eligibility, academic achievements, and community involvement.
Frequently Asked Questions
Applicants must major in education or be enrolled in an Educator Preparation Program (EPP) as part of their degree.
If an applicant doesn’t meet all the eligibility criteria, their application will be disqualified upon review.
Applicants can upload signed recommendation letters or request them through the application portal. Some recommenders may prefer to submit their letters confidentially.
Once the application is submitted, it can no longer be edited. Follow these instructions to request it be opened for editing.
You’ll need to log in to Submittable with the email used to create your account, which is why high school students are encouraged to use a non-school email. Here are instructions on how to access existing applications.
Results are typically announced in May. Scholarship recipients will receive instructions detailing how to claim scholarship funds along with additional information then. If necessary, students may delay claiming funds for up to one year.

Completion of a scholarship application in no way guarantees eligibility or scholarship funding. A scholarship committee appointed by A+FCU shall be the sole decision-maker regarding the award of any scholarships, and its decision shall be final. A+FCU reserves the right to amend the terms of any scholarship at any time without prior notice. The A+FCU scholarship is non-renewable; eligible students must reapply each year.
