Thank You For A Successful 2022

We’re grateful for our members who continue to help strengthen our credit union.

In 2022, we challenged ourselves to improve our member experience and expand our community impact.

As an organization, we’ve made notable improvements to modernizing our digital service capabilities – from launching a new website to updating our mobile app to releasing a new online credit score module that makes monitoring your credit more accessible.

We worked hard to deliver not only for our members but for our community as well. This year we introduced our very first A+ Gives Day which allowed all staff, both local and non-local, to volunteer over 2,000 hours of service at various philanthropic and educational sites across greater Texas and beyond.

2022 Accomplishments

$16.2 Million Cash-Back Checking Giveback

Since the program started in 2010, members who have a free Cash-Back Checking account and debit card earn rewards on everyday purchases.

School Spirit Debit Card Program

Through our custom debit card program, we gave back over $205,000 to local schools and school districts, and gave just as much to the members who used these cards.

A+ Gives

We continued our A+ Gives program by supporting multiple organizations throughout the year. In addition to our ongoing volunteering, we launched our first A+ Gives Day on October 10, 2022 as a way for our entire organization to spend the day doing good in the community. Overall, 470 A+FCU employees volunteered over 2,000 hours in Texas and nationwide.

18 Local organizations assisted
25 Non-local remote organizations helped
1,000 Hygiene and snack kits made for Caritas of Austin
6,600 Meals created for communities
10,500 Diapers packed with Austin Diaper Bank

The House That Credit Unions Built

For a third year, we partnered with other local credit unions and Austin Habitat for Humanity to build a home for a community member in need through The House That Credit Unions Built program.

Helping Our Community

In 2022, we donated $5.13 million to community partners, school and member cash-back programs, sponsorships, and more.

Supporting Education

As an institution created for and by educators, we’re committed to helping our communities thrive through education. Here’s what we were able to achieve:

1,213 Volunteer hours to chamber, education, and community events
53 Community Education events with 2,056 attendees
63 Scouts earned their Personal Management Merit Badge through our program
Awarded $120,000 in scholarships to 60 recipients
Over $79,700 in grants awarded to 59 area educators

Members Helping Members

We appreciate our members’ support of our mission of building stronger communities. Together, all of you helped grow the credit union to over 194,000 members in 2022. We’re proud that so many of our members believe in us and took action to refer A+FCU to friends and family through our Refer A Friend program.
