A+FCU Wins Austin Gives Generous Business Award – Community Leadership From Austin Chamber

On Thursday, September 18, 2025, the Austin Chamber recognized A+ Federal Credit Union (A+FCU) during the annual Austin Gives Awards. A+FCU was announced as the winner of the 2025 Generous Business Award in the Community Leader category during the event.

The Austin Gives program, through the Austin Chamber of Commerce, recognizes businesses that have pledged one percent or more of pre-tax earnings – such as volunteer time, services, and financial contributions – to the local community. Nominees for the Generous Business Awards were separated into four categories with A+FCU among nine organizations in the Community Leader category.
A+FCU’s winning award submission included highlights of the A+ Gives program and various financial education initiatives. During 2024, 533 A+FCU team members volunteered over 5,275 hours and the organization donated $887,961 to help local schools and community non-profit organizations. The efforts positively impacted 287 organizations.
Also featured was the A+ scholarship program, including awarding $150,000 in scholarships to 75 graduating high school seniors and college students in 2024 and another $120,000 in scholarships to 60 students in May, 2025. This brings the program impact up to more than 670 students with over $1.23 million in scholarship support given since its inception.
Through the wide range of programs offered by A+FCU, the credit union continues to focus on addressing community needs, supporting education, promoting financial literacy, and making a difference in the lives of individuals and families.
