When you’re an A+FCU member, you’re also an owner with a say in your credit union. Joining is easy and comes with a wide variety of member-only benefits.

How to Join

Joining A+FCU is easy. In addition to partnerships with over 300 schools, districts, businesses, community organizations, and more, there are plenty of other ways to join.

  • A family member is a current A+FCU member
  • Make a one-time dues payment of $10 to the A+ Education Foundation (made when you open your account)
  • You are a member, employee, or student of any of the organizations or businesses listed below:

Our PlusPoints program provides you with valuable reward points. You can earn points by doing things you’re probably already doing.

  • Get 1 point for every $1 in interest paid on an A+FCU loan or A+FCU-maintained mortgage
  • Get 1 point for every $1 in dividends earned on share accounts
  • With Cash-Back Checking, earn 10 points for every signature-based transaction using your A+FCU debit card
  • With Cash-Back Checking, earn 5 points for every PIN-based transaction using your A+FCU debit card

  • Can be transferred to the A+FCU membership of any immediate family member living within the same household
  • Balances are available on monthly statements and can be viewed with your account details in A+ Online Banking or on the A+ Mobile app
  • Capped at 25,000 points per member
PlusPoints Member Rewards is subject to change without notice. Members must be in good standing to participate. Associations and businesses are not eligible. Credit cards, holiday lines of credit, mortgages, bridge loans, HELOC, Classroom Cash loans, and student loans are excluded from redemption.

Refer a friend or business to open a new qualifying account and you’ll both earn money that’ll be automatically deposited into your Membership Savings account.

Refer a Friend - Adults

Refer a friend to open a Membership Savings and Cash-Back Checking account with eStatements and a debit card and you could both earn $20.

New accounts screened through ChexSystems. $10 minimum opening deposit required for Membership Savings. $100 minimum balance required to earn dividends on Membership Savings account. Refer a Business

Refer another Business to open a new Business Membership Savings and a Business Checking account with a debit card and you could both earn $100.

How to refer another business:

  • Print this coupon
  • Write your business name, business owner’s name, and address on the coupon
  • Give the coupon to the other business to open a qualifying account
Existing Business Member: Limit five referrals per calendar year. $100 will be deposited to your Business Membership Savings account when the referred business opens their Business Membership Savings and Business Checking with a debit card. New Business Member: Membership Required. $100 will be deposited to your Business Membership Savings account at opening of a Business Membership Savings and Business Checking with a debit card. Become a Select Employee Group

A Select Employee Group (SEG) is a business, non-profit, school, or organization that works with A+FCU to enhance their employee benefits program at no cost.

Through this partnership, all employees and their families become eligible to join A+FCU. Benefits of membership go beyond basic products and services and include:

Becoming an A+FCU SEG is fairly simple and free. We currently serve over 300 SEGs which make up a large part of our membership, and we’re always open to new SEG relationships.
